In the book All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque the character i was assigned in class was the Haie. Before the war Haie just had a simple everyday working man job. This kinda of suggest he was just looking for work really like joining the army the post war nothing really changed him that much in the war nothing to drastic.
