"Finish ch. 2 focusing on Franz and his friends reaction to him. How does Remarque indirectly characterize Frank? His friends? What theme is Remarque beginning to reveal?"

In All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque in chapter two Remarque really characterizes Frank on page 27 how he really talks Frank in to being thankful he doesnt have to get both his legs ampuitated and he thinks right after he can go home. This shows hes really trying to look on the positive side really trying to cheer him up or let him know even though he wont have a leg that its not the end. This shows that Remarque really cares for his friends in trying to look on the bright side of things in the war. Showing hes a caring person trying his hardest making it easy for other people.
